Sounds like he’s referring to a team that came from ADP which would not typically have their own team in a regular tryout year. The kids that just aged out are 08. |
Definitely 08, with the majority coming from ADP. Let’s remember we are in a pandemic. Many teams/clubs/leagues are struggling and even shutting down. It’s been a strange year. |
Very true. Many clubs lost out on camp and rec money last year too. Rec of course is not as much $ but all the summer camps were a blow financially to some of the programs. Several clubs added additional teams, may have been a money grab, but can you blame them? |
+1. Teams have also been so lopsided with rolling tryouts. I think the talent will balance out better for the 2021-22 year. |

All SYC teams playing in the Arlington Tournament are going to the finals.
Just go to the website and see the standings. |
No, they are not. Check the standings again. At least three of their teams did not advance. |
| What has been the behavior of the SYC boys’ coaches this time? |
| Cheapest medals I've ever seen. Sad that they gave out these cheap pieces of plastic. |
You’re cheap plastic |
I agree. One of the most expensive tournaments in the area and they only gave out cheap medals. Not even small trophies for 1st place. |
| SYC archiving across many groups. |
And apparently malaproprisatin' across all! |
| Give it a rest SYC! Your incessant posts are a great example of why you have a reputation for being obnoxious. |
Cmon. There is nothing wrong with rivalry and competition. They are publicizing wins to recruit talent. It’s not lying or exaggerating or talking about results from years ago or brands or lineage. Everybody knows the best way to keep an opponent quiet - beating them. So do that instead of telling them not to enjoy this improvement in fortunes. |
| The medals were so chintzy. My kids got much nicer awards from rec all stars tournaments! |
