Arlington Asist Tournament

The applied teams have posted. Noticed besides the girls 2012's, Mclean isn't participating in this tournament (girls side), is this always the case?

Correct. They choose to beat up on CCL and NCSL teams rather than play against real competition at VDA Showcase or Jeff Cup.

On the boys side there are ECNL conflicts with ASIST date.

Perhaps that is also true for the girls side? McLean does have some teams playing in VDA tournament.

In some of the younger years, they are being more judicious about number of tournaments they take part in from what I have seen (due to COVID precautions)

I keep my fingers crossed because I want everyone to stay safe and healthy, not for the sake of a particular tournament.

If those teams really care that much about Jeff Cup, I doubt they’d be playing in ASIST.

Seems like you are just worried about the Jeff cup.

The chances of getting quarantined because of a single player's family member's positive result is exponentially higher than actual transmission during tournament play, so although I do indeed hope nobody actually gets the virus, I worry about people not being able to participate in the next tournament, yes, because it is a much higher probability than anybody actually catching the virus during play at ASIST.
