Why does Anne Hathaway repulse me? Anyone else?

Bingo. She's alway "on," it's impossible to trust or like someone like that. It seems very devious.

Oprah detests her. In the promo for Brokeback Mountain the cast went on her show. Oprah asked AH a question about something that was not clear and the response was disdainful. You could see Oprah struggle not to explode on-air. I'm such AH was never invited to an Oprah anything again. Just check.

Well, if Oprah doesn't like her, that's all I need to know!

She’s like Lea Michele.

Agree with the annoying theater kid personality, however Lea Michelle is wacko. She’ll never have the success Anne Hathaway has achieved.

Lea Michele is a mean person who seemingly creates enemies wherever she goes. Anne seems nice but perhaps a little insecure. Being mean catches up to you eventually when you are a woman. Look at Ellen!

Obviously I don’t know Anne, but many celebrities have admitted to struggling with insecurity, anxiety/depression, etc. They probably experience these things at a similar rate as the population at large, they’re just under a public microscope.

But yes the comparison to Lea Michelle is a bit unfair because she’s a well-known b-tch and pretty much can’t get work anymore because she’s impossible to work with.

Agree that she has the adult personality of a musical theater kid. She's earnest, always "on," and sounds to be a bit of a drama llama.

People either love her or hate her. There's not a lot of middle ground.

The comparison to Lea Michele is about the theater kid personality. Hence the bolding...

They pretty much all have to do this. Gaga was worse.

"It’s this visceral reaction." nailed it! she's the only actress I feel this way about and I've always felt this way about her, I think even before Devil Wears Prada.

Over dramatic, wants to be noticed

Don't know. Am neutral on her. But the way people like Anna Kendricks is how I think Anne Hathaway wishes she was liked.

Telling people to eat sensibly, exercise and lean on others for support is anti-women now?

She’s hot. Loved her in the Catwoman suit. Good, but not great actress (limited range). My guess is that she’s always “on” because at some point, when you’re famous, you eventually and inevitably end up that way. She also appears to be a little socially awkward which I’d guess she uses the “on” thing to help cover up.

You seem unfamiliar with Weight Watchers.

Maybe this is why I’m turned off by Lin-Manuel Miranda? *ducks and runs away*
