Excellent actress. Annoying person.
I can separate the two in order to enjoy watching her movies, but will avoid any interviews, awards, or anything off script. |
| I agree she’s beautiful and talented but her personality is a bit off like she tries to be genuine and probably is but it feels fake. Overall I don’t hate her, just don’t like listening to her. |
It’s those unusually large eyes! |
You are just jealous because you are not as talented, not as pretty, not as famous,..etc. add on. But that's okay. |
She is a striver- people hate strivers. |
| Insufferable fake ruthless striver. Looks like a conniving theater kid who would eagerly ruin anyone competing for an acting part she wants. |
| Why waste energy on this? Either choose to watch her movies or don't watch them. I enjoy her movies. |
What more is she striving for? I enjoy some of her movies, don't LOVE her as an actress, but she's already made it. She's an Oscar winner and an A-list actress that commands a pretty hefty paycheck. |
+1 |
She’s like Lea Michele. |
| She seems like a generally kind person. I may not ultimately be friends with her if I knew her, but kindness means I wouldn’t actively dislike her. If someone is kind, they get a thumbs up in my book. |
What are the characteristics of an annoying theater kid? |
|
Very eager to please and maybe in the past uncomfortable in her skin, which i think made other people uncomfortable. I read an interview a while back where she said she has an assistant or someone who reads her social media post and she delays posting until it's reviewed or she typically waits a bit and re reviews? It struck me as very sad and exhausting that she feels she has to self monitor so carefully but she has been through a lot and my guess is, she has matured and can let go a little more. She's a mother now too so hooefully less self preoccupied.

Jameela Jamil (another woman people seemingly hate for no reason) had an excellent theory about this:
https://www.stylist.co.uk/entertainment/celebrity/jameela-jamil-tabloid-overexposure-sexist-practice-instagram/428558 I admit I was one of those Anne H haters until I actually thought about it and there was no real reason for me to not like her. The media affects our perceptions more than we may think. |
It's called instincts and human nature. An aversion to someone for reasons you can't quite understand is perfectly normal. It's how your ancestors survived. |
