Why does Anne Hathaway repulse me? Anyone else?

Anonymous
I just came across this new article and it reminded me that I've never been able to stand her. I've heard a lot of people feel this way? Is it her annoying theatre kid personality, is there something super off about her appearance, her acting - all of the above?

When Will We Accept Anne Hathaway as One of the Greatest Actresses of her Generation?

For me it was the article about her grifter ex where the interviewer noted that Anne was creeping around the corner watching them.

I like her and think she's exceedingly talented.

I always liked her, but in her recent interview with Fallon I found myself thinking "Oh, THIS is why people can't stand her!"

But I don't know what it was. I really loved her in Lip Sync Battle and I like her acting. On paper I like her. She gave her kids normal names, she donates to causes I believe in, etc.

It was the dripping snot from her nose song in Le Mis

I think it was her shameless self-campaign for her Oscar for Les Miz.

In the WaPo? I distinctly remember a small write up focused on him (before his downfall) where the writer described how AH stood nearby, rolling her eyes during the interview. The writer seemed to think that AH either believed that she was the true object of interest or was jealous that she was not.

I can’t remember when it was, had to have been around 2007ish. But yea, the article was supposed to be on Raphael but her crazy behavior ended up overshadowing him.

I couldn't stand her way before that.

Looking like or resembling a Goon from the Popeye cartoon.

I think she's talented and have enjoyed some movies she's in. For me, it's the annoying theater kid personality. It's just a personality I've never particularly gotten along with or enjoyed. She doesn't repulse me, I just don't like her. But I can recognize she's talented and can get past my annoyance of her to enjoy the movie.
