| Girls weekend age is the peak of the crazy. By HS ages it settles down for all but a few. |
My daughter is playing too- I want her to have fun. How another team from her club plays or how teams from other clubs play doesn’t even register |
Exactly. Once recruiting starts to happen all these little rivalries and rankings kind of just go away as parents and players find out where they really stand. It very quickly becomes about each kids own individual process and pathway. I've yet to hear a college coach ask a player what their team record or team ranking was. |
Recruiting is interesting. In a large ECNL roster, is it is actually rare for multiple players to be targeting the same schools. By the time everyone focuses in on what size, location, division, religion, major, etc. etc. etc....everyone has a different list. There is some overlap but not a lot. |
You people truly are morons. If your DD is on an elite team, she and her teammates will want to play against the best. As a parent, I enjoy watching them when they are playing at their best against best. There is nothing wrong with someone wanting to see McLean play FCV or Richmond play NC Courage. After years attending games against the same teams and players, and watching the players and teams improve, you know who the best are. I am sorry if you are too busy reading Woke Digest to get caught up on the latest victimhood arguments but while you were doing that I was bust watching my DDs and their teams develop and compete. |
Wow. Relax. It is youth soccer. Enjoy the games but relax. |
LOL. "If your DD is on an elite team". This is rich! |
Loudoun dad who can’t amount to much cause DD’s team is garbage detected |
|
lol. Mom who has seen enough "elite" youth soccer to last several lifetimes.

Says the person to sought out a soccer message board on internet and felt indignant enough to reply to the post. Yo, kettle. |
|
I'd say vast majority of parents on this board are here to delve into what other clubs are saying and doing. It's no secret you're here to get a leg up. Sure, some posts are about USWNT and actual inquiries about where their kid should play, but those threads with most replies are about other clubs and ages.
I'm with other parents that wanna see clubs compete at a high level. Dunno about you, but I've spend 5000 hours with my DD at the fields one-on-one and have hopes she plays any level in college. So, forgive us parents that want to see them compete against the best on an individual level. |
One can look at a thread about a tournament, especially during Covid, and be interested because brackets are released to know where MY kids team is playing. It’s another thing entirely to dream up team matches like a fan boy. It’s hysterical, they are kids playing in their 30th tournament after playing literally hundreds of games by now. All most reasonable sane people want to know now is where and when. If your young maybe your kid gets a cheap meddle after it a good weekend of soccer. If your kid is older and showcasing, hopefully the coach of a school she is interested in watches her play and hopefully she has a good game with highlights to send out. By recruiting age most parents could care less about what other clubs are doing. You’re focused on your own team playing well, win or lose, and how your player plays and their own process. My guess is, your DD is still playing for cheap trinkets. |
LOL... in your dreams. I guess your DD is down a few brackets. FlIgHtS aRe ChAnGiNg LMAO |
Exactly how does coming to this forum help one to get a leg up? A leg up on what? A leg up on who? What secret information is being passed to allow people to get a leg up? If everyone here is reading the same thing is it really a leg up still? So many questions. |
