Jeff Cup always places virginia teams better than they should be. They always have two virginia teams in the top division.

I see at the 17s they have Beach FC in a higher bracket than Skyline FC (whom they lost to in the state cup). It also appears that Beach FC rates higher than McLean ECNL, Bethesda ECNL. Arlington GA, etc... that is almost comical.

They like to take the ECNL clubs and sprinkle them in according to their standings, first place in top bracket, second place in second bracket, and so on. It's been this way for years.

That's great. One is usually ECNL and the other DA. Only time they'll get to play and it seems, based on YSR, they are ranked very high.

U13 placements are the worst. based on last year's teams which don't really exist anymore and those teams are made up of entirely different kids now.

I always thought that FCV and McLean were the top two clubs but based on showcase placement, JefCup believes otherwise. FCV, Richmond and Pipeline are in the top bracket in three of the four age groups. Mclean is on one of four. Sadly, FCV and McLean will not play each other at any age.

McLean is not a top team. They might actually be slotted too high.

+1. Peeps be arguing here like the NCAA March Madness selection committee messed up. This is like three guys on their home computer using YSR and application forms from team managers placing teams. They know VA teams, so yes, they may be a tad higher. They also put in teams from other states to give them incentive to travel. It's a girls youth soccer tournament FFS.

FCV has not been a top club in years. They are not even ECNL.

Idiot, this is a discussion about a girls tournament and as a parent of a girl who plays for a club that will play in the tournament, I would like to see FCV and McLean play because they are two strong teams and DD has played against both and has friends on both.

Jesus, who cares. The problem with all of this is parents like you who think these games mean anything. Creating these little club rivalries acting like the players are these little celebrities.

And would would the result of such a game even mean? What does it say about those kids or your kid? It is just weird to follow it or care that much about youth club soccer.
