We need more than a curfew.
We need stay-at-home orders.

One does not naturally follow the other.

If you're scared, then stay home. Don't bring the rest of society down with you.

The problem is the rest of you are too damn stupid and selfish to voluntarily stay home as well. And because you don’t, people keep getting infected and spreading it to other stupid and selfish people - like you - who also won’t stay home.

So if you won’t do what’s right, and in your own best interest voluntarily, then you need to be forced to. I’m hoping we get a SAH order that has jail as a penalty for violating it. Because that’s the only thing that will keep you stupid trumpets home - the fear of going to jail and being some big Black man’s b!tch in the shower.

If everyone would’ve just stayed home for 3 weeks in April, this would’ve been over by May. But thanks to you and your dumbass president, we now have like 8,000 people a day dying.

Mmmm, yes, "too damn stupid and selfish to voluntarily stay home as well." I own a small business that provides essential services, and I've been taking all health precautions seriously since March. If I voluntarily stayed home, it WOULD be too damn stupid and selfish because I wouldn't be able to house, feed, and support my children. There are millions of Americans in this predicament. Some are financially better off than others, but our professions/jobs don't grant us the luxury of locking ourselves up in our houses and firing off nasty and ignorant messages on social media.

Oh, and furthermore - I happily voted for Biden in November.

You clearly need some help to work through some serious anxiety issues.

Exactly no one believes a smarmy sounding prick like you voted for Joe.

Nice try, troll. You’re a trumpet all the way. Your reckless disregard for the live of others in the name of paying your mortgage is all the proof anyone needed. We saw right through you.

I do hope you seek some help. Quickly.

The rapid rise of covid is due to speakeasies??? Really? Are we in the 1920s and not 2020s?

Not real old-times speakeasies, but with bars and restaurants closed/limited in capacity/forced to stop serving alcohol after 10 pm (depending on where you are), a lot of people, especially younger people, are socializing more in their homes.

We went to dinner in DC with friends in Friday, but since there is a 6 person limit at tables, some people couldn’t come. But, those people joined us at our house afterwards for drinks. There may be some limit on social gatherings in DC, but it’s unenforceable. Even if the police were to show up, I wouldn’t let them into my house without a warrant.

How much space does Friday have? I’m curious how it feels to be inside a day.

I hate to break it to those calling for stay at home orders, but there are not going to be further stay at home orders. Most areas of the country have reached a state of acceptance of where things are with regard to COVID. People are in a holding pattern waiting for a vaccine. There is limited public or political will for such orders accept in most places for a variety of reasons including the economic damage. Most places will continue with the current status quote until the vaccine comes. I'm not saying whether there should or shouldn't be, I'm just telling the way it is.

No, I understand the concept. My wife and several family members have already had covid. It’s just that we’ve decided we accept the risk of what we’re doing.

Call me whatever name you wish. If you think your vulgar name calling has an impact on me, you’re wrong; they just bounce off. With that said, you have a lot of anger that’s misdirected and needs to be addressed...

...or, you’re just troll.

Of course the government can, and does.

Agreed. It's literally the government's JOB to protect its citizens. Sometimes from their own stupidity.

No, people are allowed to be stupid.

People are allowed to be stupid in some ways (for example, endlessly circling the parking lot for a close-in spot, instead of parking further away and walking 2 minutes) but not in others (for example, not wearing a seatbelt).

The morally tricky thing about this particular virus is since you are contagious while asymptomatic, you are also accepting the risk for other people who you come into contact with while contagious.
