DC Police Chief out

Crime is up because the social justice warriors are getting what they want - a hands off approach to policing where police are basically allowed to do nothing except respond to murder and shootings. All other crime is being overlooked, because if police confront anyone for shoplifting, breaking into cars or whatever other crimes, they'll be surrounded by the mob who video tapes them like as if they're catching some sort of racist act in the process. Liberals are getting what they want, less policing. RIP property values as crime reverts back to the 80s levels of insanity. Where are the social workers and conflict interventionists to take care of the less serious crimes outside of murder? Lol, what a debacle.

That’s a bunch of loaded crap. Crime has been steadily increasing the last three years, long before the protests. Look at DC crime at a glance on the MPD page. And these are just the crime stats reported, as for years MPD reported crime stats like DeSantis reports COVID deaths v

That's the case number in DC Superior Court. You can read the court filing for yourself by doing the case search online in the court system. MPD is being sued right now to turn over all the names and information MPD shared with the right-wing groups. Also, I was unaware that Huffington Post ran a story about the matter. At least some news agency took an interest. This would are all over Fox News if MPD had shared information with BLM or similar.

Zero reason for anyone not to choose a slight pay cut to get out of DC.

There are a lot of factors that impact the crime rate, but the number of officers isn't one of them. Ninety five percent of police work is responding to calls. The heavily edited show, Cops, is fantasy land. Right wing media has been rambling on for the last decade about how crime is supposedly going up because cops are afraid to due their job due to things like low morale. It's mostly BS.

What's false? DC has more police officers and the budget has not been cut because it will still go to public safety. Most of the overtime costs get charged to the federal government.
