Most people that do gluten free are fakers and attention seekers

People’s gluten sensitivities, true or perceived have zero affect on my life.

Oh, no! Am I a "nasty" woman? And we are supposed to be nice and kind to all?

Are you… really using the language of feminism to justify being a huge bitch to other people?

You need to sit down for a while and think about why you get such joy out of being cruel to others.

Um, yes? Most don't find that to even be a question. I'm looking forward to a fresh start come Nov. 3 so we can all get back to assuming being polite and respectful -- "nice and kind to all" -- is the norm.

So? I am too. Dairy can kill me. Yet, I, and I presume you too, have to deal with lactose-intolerant people who go on and on about how they know exaclty what it is! They too are lactose intolernat and get terrible sh*ts from diary! If you do have a dairy allergy, you are no doubt sick to death of lactose-intolerant people and the dairy fakers. They are the first ones to say, "Go on, try it, you will pay for it later, but it is worth it." Umm, no.
If you gave yourself a dairy sensitivity diagnosis, then you are one of the people that have no clue what dairy allergy is and are an attention hog, just like fake gf people.

What the hell? I would get terrible sh*ts from your diary, too. Wow what an incoherent rant.

It is not incoherent to people with a real dairy allergy. If you are not one of them, you are the one that irritates people with a dairy allergy. Your diarrhea is unlikely to kill you, right? Did you even need an EpiPen for your dairy issue? Yes, or no?

Pretty sure you are the one that is a misogynist in this scenario.

I don't have dairy issues, so that would be a no. I also -- again -- don't GAF if other people don't eat dairy. I don't care if they just get loose stools rather than need an epi-pen. Do you deserve some kind of prize, PP?

As long as the "being civil" is not a euphemism for women not speaking their mind and then being labeled bitches when they do.

I don't know what's in white bread in US but my stomach hurts as hell the next day, and not because I overeat. Any white bread does it for me. No problems with rye beard though.

OP comes off as more looney tunes every time she posts, as if there were some legitimate reason to be enraged at the dietary choices of others that she is trying to articulate but we just don't understand it. There is none.

OP, you are the black knight of this thread.

Celiac is rare, and if it weren’t for all the “fakers” it wouldn’t be profitable for stores to carry gluten-free products, or for restaurants to offer gluten-free dishes. The past 15 years have been an amazing progression. When first diagnosed I had to buy many ingredients at expensive health food stores and I couldn’t eat out ever. Now I can go to most restaurants and find gluten-free stuff at most supermarkets. It’s wonderful, and I care 0% that it inconveniences you and makes you cranky. In fact, that’s kind of a bonus.

In short, suck it.

Agree. My DD has celiac. I have other family members diagnosed in the early 80s and shopping and eating out is a completely different experience.

Dairy allergy is a real thing. Sensitivity is not. Don't post nonsense. I am OP and I am not disputing legitimate health problems and diagnoses.

You’re right. My vomiting ave migraines after dairy is entirely in my head. FWIW my doc only considers anaphylaxis as a true allergy. I’m definitely having those symptoms too, but not quite life threatening enough for consideration.

If you aren’t dealing with these issues, you genuinely have no basis for conversation. Kindly see yourself out, and attempt to remove your head from your nether region.

Sweet hell. Sensitivities are not deadly, no one is claiming that. But I’m still sick for several days after exposure. Sorry my not needing life support isn’t enough to rate caution.

I’m so glad the OP has found meaning in their day.

Liar. If OP doesn't get a stomach ache from white bread then it's scientifically impossible for anyone else to. Therefore you must be a faker and an attention hog.

You see it in this thread, with people implying that people should go gluten free to address mood disorders. Stuff like that is what makes people like OP annoyed by gluten free folks.

Eat what you want, try not to talk about it so much, definitely don't try to sell other people on it. I know you'll say "Well keto/gluten-free/caveman/vegan/whatever has helped me lose weight, build muscle, improved my mood, boosted my sex life, and made me a millionaire!" I don't care. Please stop talking about it.

+1. I know people with Celiac's. But I know a lot more people who use an undiagnosed gluten allergy to justify their severely disordered eating and weight loss attempts. You can ID them by how much they talk about their food. Same goes for the low carb people who can't stop talking about how sweet normal food tastes: nobody thinks that yam is candy, just stop.

Eat what you want. Don't eat things you don't want. If you would like a gluten free entree at a meal I'm hosting, tell me and there will be at least one dish. But otherwise keep your diet to yourself.
