Unsolved mysteries

Reposting since yesterday's posts were lost...

I'm not quite done with Season 2 of the reboot (I skip around and don't watch in order), but I'm find the show incredibly boring. I don't thing it's the storylines, but the show itself has failed to intrigue me with this set of shows. I need more leads I think. Don't just tell me two toddlers were stolen from a park almost 30 years ago and authorities still don't have one clue. That is not going to produce any new leads.

I only watched a few eps but I agree that this season is a bit more boring. They should have mixed up the episodes from season one and two to make two well rounded collections. The Oslo episode...zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The intrigue is missing. If the public isn't intrigued then there will not be discussion and new press coverage. Everyone kind of shrugs it off.

Also, I will forever miss Robert Stack and his iconic voice.

Agreed, totally boring. The Oslo one at least held my attention but the rest have put me to sleep.

DNA seems to be the only realistic possibility to solve some of these mysteries now, and something I wish that they would put front and center. They might be able to come up with close relatives of the Oslo woman, or even the missing boys if they were kidnapped and raised by someone else. More and more crimes are being solved using ancestry type dna databases.

What happened to the posts from yesterday?

Currently watching episode 3, and cannot believe the guy was allowed to go Christmas shopping, alone! How does that even happen with a death row inmate?

This season is really boring. Kind of disappointed. The first season was A LOT better.

I agree, and I have wondered if they just ended up airing episodes that didn’t make the cut for the first season since they couldn’t do much filming once covid hit.

This is probably true. We skipped the tsunami episode, and I felt like more could have been done with the kidnapping episode. I feel so sorry for those mothers.

On Hulu I like to watch Buzzfeed Unsolved. Some episodes are better than others.

I just read an article that said 100s of tips have poured in about the guy that escaped who was on death row.

I doubt it will ever be solved, but I really enjoyed the detective work on the Oslo case. The intelligence/assassin scenario is pretty convincing, especially based on where she was found to come from.
