So glad you're feeling better OP. What a scary thing you've survived.
Please don't beat yourself up for anything - you got through it and you and your son are ok. That is all that matters. I hope it's all behind you now and you continue to feel better each day. And I hope your ex will be ok also. |
| Did you lose weight? |
Haven’t weighed myself but most likely. |
| Where were you tested on April 1st? |
It sounds textbook. Imagine that! |
The recommendation regarding your nebulizer is because if you have others in your house, it can help aerosolize the virus. If are alone or isolate yourself well enough, you can use it. |

Np here. I also believe steroids, while they open up the airways, allow a virus to grow. Steroids suppress immune system.
My understanding of it. |
Just stop. |
| Best wishes, OP. |

OP how long after your son's symptoms did you start feeling sick? My 5 year old came down with a fever, sore throat and headaches 6 days ago. No diarrhea but he said his belly hurt and he barely ate. His illness only lasted about 4 days and he is back to being himself now. But he was in tears over the headaches, begging for more Tylenol before the 4 hour dosing interval was up. Moving around seemed to really exacerbate the headaches. No cough, difficulty breathing or chest pain. On the day he woke up sick he was on day 18 of not leaving the house other than walks outside so we are baffled as to how he could have gotten sick.
I am so curious to know if he had a mild case of COVID and have been waiting to see if anyone else in the house gets sick. I know it can have a long incubation period but it seems like at least one of us would've gotten sick by now unless we were all asymptomatic carriers. We didn't do much to isolate him once he fell ill as it seemed like a lost cause. He has a little brother who was all over him leading up to the illness and they touch all the same toys, etc. I'd like to think we are in the clear but I guess we need to see in at least another week? Glad you are starting to feel better. It is crazy how long and drawn out this virus is. |
Did you even bother to read the OP's very FIRST post?

She already said in Holmdel, NJ.

Update:
I feel a lot better. No fever today. Burst of energy. I’m able to clean and cook. I still have some chest tightness, productive cough but I feel good. Ex was finally admitted and given oxygen and some antibiotics. Seem to be helping. He has bilateral pneumonia. |
| Glad to hear you are feeling better, OP! |
It’s really hard to know if it was a mild case of COVID or some random bug. I’m not sure anyone can give you a good answer. Check out Reddit/COVID-Positive for good information but don’t read too much or you’ll panic. There are a lot of folks who are convinced they have COVID but probably don’t. Other bugs still travel and can make their way into your home one way or another. It was about 5-6 says between my son showing GI symptoms till I did. |
