It’s not certain they will have poll workers to operate the mere five sites. What happens if the polls don’t open? |
The GOP retains control of the state supreme court and extends the gerrymandering and other awful policies within the state. |
I’m pretty well convinced that Roberts is on the take now. |
The governor needs to use the national guard to enforce the stay at home order. No election. To ask people to both do their civic duty by voting and do their civic duty by staying home is insane. |
Will the Secretary of State - a Democrat - abide by the ruling? He could argue that the Governor & public safety preempted the court ruling. SoS does not need to certify results or even open the polls.
Courts can’t send anyone in to work the polls or count ballots. |
The GOP is happily trying to kill off as many people as they can. For them there is no contradiction in these conflicting goals. |
Umm, the Federal Emergency was declared weeks ago. Evers tweeted on April 1st that he wouldn’t change the election date because doing so would break the law. I’m not even saying I disagree that the election shouldn’t be held tomorrow. But again, Evers has no one to blame for this but himself. Cancelling the election at the 11th hour, AFTER he said literally five days ago that doing so would be illegal and he wouldn’t do it, is just piss poor, TERRIBLE leadership. |
Nah, “terrible leadership” is the Republican death cult that controls the WI legislature and Supreme Court |
The GOP will use their ill-gained court seat to strip Dem Gov. Evers of his power to veto another decade of gerrymanders in 2021 just like the GOP legislature stripped him of powers in a lame-duck session before he took office. |
Te Republican legislature has the power to change it. They want this to happen. |

Read the comments — this is what voter suppression looks like. |
Yep. And what were other leaders saying 5 days ago? Hard to keep up which leaders took this seriously, which leaders said it would go away, or we would have herd immunity ... again, confusion is being filtered down from the top. |
Could they do drive through voting? Similar to the drive through testing for coronavirus. Have the poll workers wear PPE and tell voters to bring their own pens. Maybe then more poll workers would be willing to work and they'd have enough locations open? |
Not everyone has a car. |
And, how would that work for the 50,000 people expected to vote in Milwaukee? Line up 30,000 cars where to do this? |
