Or because the state of MD deemed them part of critical infrastructure, but sure. Keep telling yourself that. |
I’m not in MD. go rage troll elsewhere |
Yes, your attitude is significantly ridiculous. Agree! We know most of the parents. Other people have opinions that are different than yours and that’s ok. |
And some of us can’t telework and are essential and that’s ok, too. See how that works? |
Pointing out official state guidance is rage trolling? It’s the same in NY, CA, and every other state that has instituted stay at home orders. |
That’s nuts! |
There's little reason for any of us to be staying home if daycares are open. It's ridiculous and a slap in the face to all of us trying hard not to spread disease. |
Certainly. Let’s endanger all of our children for you. I cannot telework, and will be unable to,generate any income til this is done. But let’s let our kids suffer because your employer is unable to support your family needs adequately. |
Are you serious?! I’m a nurse. |
Really? I work in healthcare. If I can’t send my child to daycare, I can’t work to fight this pandemic. |
Ok. I see. Please get some rest. We are not at cross purposes, mostly trying to not become your patients. Or our kids. I’m sorry you don’t have the right supports from employers or community. I wish there was an easier way and so much was not being asked of you or your family. |
And if others continue to, it won’t slow down. It’s a terrible situation overall. Thank you for everything you’re doing, please understand we all have concerns. |
NP.
Can you all just stop attacking others and realize that this is a complex situation? Daycares are considered essential for a very good reason. |
I also work at SSA and we were not deemed essential during the last shutdown. We continued to work because our agency had full funding and was not part of the shut down. We’ve been declared nonessential in the past and then recalled as essential. But that was under much different circumstances. |
DP. WTF do you even mean by this? Tons of us have no local family (like we should be exposing grandparents right now anyway). If there is not already a childcare center on-site at your workplace, no employer is going to be setting up a new facility now, that is bonkers. Hospitals, doctors offices have enough to worry about. We as a community can be understanding and support essential workers by understanding that they still need childcare rather than jumping all over them for "endangering all of our children." Focus on yourself and your own children and *try* to understand that everyone is doing their best. Some of you are really a piece of work. |
