We don’t get to walk around in masks, gloves, and gowns and the exposure to bodily fluids is constant and normally not an issue. Your children will likely not show symptoms if infected, but will be highly contagious. The virus could easily spread to each family and to our families. I work with 1 year olds, and we are closed right now, but thinking of opening. I don’t know how to safely interact with a class of toddlers right now. There is no such thing as social distancing in our classroom and any attempt would be confusing and detrimental to their social/emotional development. There will soon come a time to safely re open, but it’s not yet. There is more to learn about transmission and testing and treatment before this can be done safely. Be patient.
I understand that, but healthcare workers and other essential people have no choice.
Healthcare workers have protective gear
Many grocery workers have protective gear, some are even putting up plexiglass screens
Bus drivers have protective guards and social distancing now
Office workers have social distancing
What protection is there for childcare workers from germs?
