I'm the wife and I do all the driving, unless we are visiting his parents in his hometown. He drives there because he's more familiar with the roads, and I hate them (narrow, twisty, no shoulder). Otherwise, I drive because I like driving more than he does, I have more driving experience, and I'm a better driver (especially on the freeway, which he hates).

DH drives more because I'm better at Yelping places to stop for food.
Also, he is just way more into cars, both cars are essentially his, and I only drive once a week or so (I commute by bicycle). On the other hand, I am perfectly capable of driving to Boston alone with two kids, and DH and I have also done very long road trips (longest was New York to Vancouver) and we split the driving. |
