Why do men usually drive when couples are in the car together?

DH thinks I drive too slow, and I cannot stand his driving “tips”. So he drives.

If we are doing a long road trip, say to Florida, he will do an hour or so until my blood pressure can’t take if anymore.

This is exactly us. And he doesn’t like to drive.

If we take my car I drive and if we take DH’s car he drives. Since he has a suv and I have a sedan he drives more.

I'm the driver when we are in the car together and we usually take my car for longer trips.
He has a horrible eyesight. Cannot tell how close or far the other cars are. This speed up and slow thing makes me sick. How does he not see that the light is about to turn yellow and red? There are numbers going down for pedestrians.
He also jumps if I don't break fast enough. He thinks the car is closer than it really is. He is blind as a bat. Glad he hasn't had too many accidents.

I drive my car when we drive and she drives hers when she drives, she enjoys driving her car so I let her - no big deal.

Mine never bothered to transfer his license from out of state (??!!!) so I am the only one with a valid license. So I drive 100% of the time and cart him around like a Prince or we Uber. It mostly comes up on vacations, but is a huge drag.

Because men are better drivers.

Duh.

I drive more often than my husband. I love driving. He likes it too but not as much. I have a lot more experience as a driver too

You let her? Like she lets you drive your car?

When my husband’s parents visit he drives, FIL is in the front passenger seat, me & MIL are in the back. I’m in the back seat of my own car! When we visit them it’s the same, except FIL is driving. I secretly feel weird but go along with their preference. MIL always offers everyone gum at the start of every ride.

Wife here. My husband without fail finds some way to tease/criticize my driving (usually something dumb about how I have both hands on the wheel at exactly 10 and 2) so fine, he can just drive and do it his way.

When 4 adults are in the car it makes sense for the 2 smallest to be I the back seat if it has less leg room. Not sure if that’s the situation for you.

My husband is a terrible backseat driver. So I don’t drive with him the car unless he is very ill or something.

I drive almost all of the time. And I pay for dinner most of the time.

When we were dating I had a nicer and safer car. So I drove. Now I have the larger (suv) so I drive (more covetable). I detest any one else driving my car. Especially my husband. He resets everything (takes lights off auto, turns them to off). Moves the seat and doesn’t put it back. Resets presets bc he isn’t as familiar with the car. And then denies doing any of it. Argh.

The carseat situation (I am petite, so need little leg room) AND the fact that he gets carsick means he usually drives when we are all together.
