Nope, OP’s thread is about how she got shafted as a woman by some presumed male in power and her male supervisor. It wasn’t just about being a single parent, but about how things are somehow more unfair for single moms.

Did you stop to check the weather forecast for this week? Did you pause to consider the possibility of school closings? NOPE.
Did you reflect back on your previous experiences and say, "Hmmm...OPM might not offer a delay or telework so let me make some calls/precautionary arrangements just in case I need back up for such a thing." NOPE.

Even though it's happened before you didn't learn a damn thing from those prior experiences. You know who you should be perturbed at OP?

Federal telecommuting is being taken away in many agencies and departments.

I'm tired of it and looking elsewhere. And I am paying attention to what closes / delays (or offers other work options) for inclement weather and what places of employment don't.

It's crazy in this day and age to discourage telework, especially during bad weather conditions, illness outbreaks at work, etc..
