That's all fine from a Church legalese perspective. Doesn't change that it was un-christ like and hypocritical and inappropriate for the Priest to inject the Church into politics. But as long as some theologians worked out the legal pretzels, you can rest self-satisfied.

This is why the Church is losing members, you know.

Christ welcomed sinners but called them to repent. Biden is unrepentant and in a public forum. It was not the priest who politicized anything. Biden politicized his religious observance himself. As for the Church being "injected" into politics, once again it was Biden who knowingly approached the Eucharist while objectively indisposed to receive it.

As for losing members, parishes, dioceses and denominations that are faithful to tradition seem to be growing. Others, not so much. The Church is charged to announce the Gospel, not pander to those not interested in hearing it. The collapse of mainline Protestantism is an object lesson in the consequences of a religious observance driven by secular concerns.

This. Why don5 the pseudo-Catholic posters on here just become Episcopalians? If you don’t agree with the Church, leave.

We do believe in the teachings of Jesus we just don’t agree with all the ridiculous changes that some of the Vatican is made that were completely against Jesus‘s teachings .

Why don’t you guys create a whole new religion if you want to keep changing the rules to go against what Jesus actually said .

Where did Jesus speak on abortion? Or Latin masses?

Either you think the church should allow people to disagree, or you don't.

Jesus said we must keep the commandments. Abortion is murder. The 6th commandments forbids murder. Christ makes it clear in John 6 that the Eucharist is his Body and Blood. He makes it even clearer in the other Gospels that the Mass is a sacrafice. The New Mass does not have a sacrificial element and must be rejected.

No where in the Bible does it stay abortion is murder. There is an awful lot of child killing, however.

Again, if you say we can only look at the Bible, you’re a heretic who follows Luther. You don’t get to interpret the Bible. The Church does

Men aka the church are fallible and their interpretations are fallible. Follow you soul not your ego.

That’s Protestant nonsense.

Maybe you need to educate yourself on Vatican 2

Vatican 2 is heretical and non-binding.

Well dear friend, let’s see what Christ said

“ But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slaughter them before me.’” Luke 19:27

“ Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” John 3;18

“ You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.” Mathew 5:27-30

“ But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say, ‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’ I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town.” Like 10:10-12( note he says that those who do not accept the teachings of his apostles/ ie the Church, will be damned)

“The one who hears you hears me, and the one who rejects you rejects me, and the one who rejects me rejects him who sent me.” Luke 10:16 ( he says this to the Apostles. The Bishops and priests of the Church are the successors of the Apostles. If you don’t submit to the Church, you will be damned)

So again, stop selectively quoting Jesus to make it seem like he never condemned anyone. He cond3mned public sin. If you don’t agree with his Apostles, then leave.

Hey ding dong... I know what is said, so why selectively not give communion for political purposes, don't give communion to all sinners. Oh wait, that is everybody.

Also, which translation are you using, from what year? They really f'd up some translations from German to English.

Wow you’re a moron. The NT is translated from Greek, not German

You really need take a history class on translations of the bible. You think there is only one translation, it did not go through iterations.

Hon. Wow! You are really stupid.

The KJV and the ESV( both of which I use) were translated directly from Greek

Sorry my voice to text used the wrong word. I mean compare the English translation to the German translation.

They were both translated from Greek but the translations are different

I am a republican, at least I was, now I have no home....but THIS is 100% so on point.

NP. Just wanted to say, as a liberal who used to consider herself to be a Republican, that I see you and respect you so much. Being "homeless" is tough. I really appreciate that you aren't just party-only.

That is on the recipient to decide then.

Yep.....and Jesus tells us to forgive, not just forgive those we agree with.

Indeed. Biden can go to Confession, repent for supporting abortion/LGBT, be forgiven, and receive the Eucharist.

Great, so you are think it's okay to deny love and the right to love someone, when we are surrounded by so much hate. If love is a bad thing in your religion, then I guess I am missing out on a lot of hate. Good thing. My church accepts everyone and I have no doubt when I meet my maker, I am going to be welcomed with open arms.

Your sect chose to leave the Catholic church and keep the name. I appreciate that you are honest enough to sign your name in a way that identifies that. Unfortunately, not many people understand what your brand of Catholicism is, and it really confuses the general public.

After 40+ years in the Catholic church and my entire education in Catholic schools, I finally did just that three years ago. I have never felt more close to God and Jesus, and am so happy to be raising my children in such a faithful, loving, Episcopalian communion.
I would really encourage those who are still trying to remain Catholic despite the deep and persistent sin within the church, to check out their local Episcopalian or Lutheran churches, and really prayerfully consider where their faith will best grow.

Show me a fundamental difference between the German and English( fundamental, not just slight word variation )

Lol, Pope Francis disagrees with you. He loves the SSPX.

I’ll make this simple for you friend

1. Francis recognizes the validity of SSPX Confessions
2. Francis recognizes the validity of SSPX marriages
3. Francis recognizes the SSPX’s authority to ordain priests
4. Francis allowed a Bishop to retire to the SSPX with his approval
https://www.catholicculture.org/news/headlines/index.cfm?storyid=31663
https://sspx.org/en/news-events/news/society-saint...cognizes-marriages-valid-30461
https://onepeterfive.com/new-apostolic-letter-sspx...culties-extended-indefinitely/
https://international.la-croix.com/news/retired-sw...hop-to-live-in-sspx-home/10152

So dear friend, what does it mean to be canonically irregular if the SSPX has all this? Rome is playing word games. Francis has handed the Society everything--

The Pope is apparently as mired in sin as Joe Biden, because he also supports LGBTQ:

...the pope told him “God made you like that and he loves you like that and I do not care.”

So what's the difference? According to the article, it comes down to sexual activity. Has Joe Biden endorsed sodomy or other sexual acts outside of marriage? Please provide a link.

+ a million.

If Biden doesn't help protect innocent lives, someone has to call him for it.

Agreed! I grew up Catholic and my grandparents are still very much devout. They go Sunday, Wednesday, etc... I took my kids to mass at the same catholic church I went to all my life, I really didn't want to, but my grandma really wanted to show them off to all her church lady friends. After all was done and over, I got this from my son....Mom, I thought God loves everyone but today the priest seemed to say that my best friend is going to go to hell because she is gay. I am confused. That is not what I believe God or Jesus would want from us. Am I wrong?

I was so angry.....but at the same time, I know I am raising my kids to be lovely people that accept people for who they are, how they treat people ,and not who they sleep with! So, I am just set back and told him the priest is wrong and God will also be judging him one day.

Exactly. You are born gay....I know some folks have a hard time with this because that also means that God made them that way. It messes up there fragile brains. I always find people who get upset over what goes on in someone else's bedroom generally have A LOT of skeletons in their own closet, esp. when they hide behind religion.

Good news is that people that think like this and act like an utter A%%holes are in the minority now.

Please provide a link that shows that Biden's support of LGBTQ people addresses their SEXUAL behavior.

Even supporting their right to marry doesn't mean anything from a sexual perspective. Plenty of married people don't have sex. Just ask DCUM.
