| PS, do they deny Communion to the Priests they relocate in the wake of child rape? |
So now the priest is in a state of mortal sin denying communion. so he should not be allowed to receive or give. |
| Oh the Catholics... what a mess they have become. |
Well, that priest will have to explain himself to Peter. My guess is he's going to the hot place. |
| Yet another example of the Catholic Church so singularly focused on putting Church "teaching" and Church "doctrine" above everything else, including Scripture. |

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye;
and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. |
+100 And anyway does the priest know whether or not Joe went to confession (not that I personally believe he committed a sin anyway)? Frankly, the priest seems to be abusing his position for political reasons (sound familiar)? He's going to have to deal with his God on this issue or become one of many priests whose bones line the path to hell. This is absolutely a political play and is being bantered around politically. As a Catholic I am absolutely disgusted by these so-called Catholics who are using one's very personal faith as a weapon. May God have mercy on their souls. |
Not the Church. One f'ing hypocrite priest. |
yea, but face it. This isn't an isolated incident. This type of hypocrisy is rampant across the church, and the hypocrisy is a big reason why people are leaving in droves. |
So will he be censured? Will the Church correct him and issue a statement? Issue guidelines for other priests? can't wait. |
Great question. |
+1 because we already know the answers to these questions.

It’s not the churches teaching to deny communion like this Kristen |
so then the Church should speak up. |
| Being pro-choice does not mean you’re not pro life. Being part of the pro life movement just means that you’re part of an organization that used to bomb abortion clinics, and now denies women basic healthcare rights. The pro-life movement is not pro life |
