You fly for free?

Yes, I do. Eric Trump here.

Overlooking your attempt at humor, the previous post doesn't make sense. Nothing on an airline is free!

It is if you are a politician flying on a Government plane.

The bolded post did not reference a government plane. It noted "even airlines."

+1 And please remind me of why toddlers are expected for their own soap? My toddler doesn't really have good business skills yet. Maybe when she's 3 and potty trained, she'll be able to pay for her own plane ticket.

A civilized society takes care of children. The US government has enough money to buy some soap. If only these children were still fetuses, the GOP would take so much interest in them.

Conservative translation: screw them kids--we've got to save our $ to pay for billionaire Betsy De Vos's private security guards, Mnuchin's trips on private jets to go see the eclipse, and Ben Carson's office furniture.

Congress controls the money.

Liberals don’t. Conservatives don’t. Trump doesn’t.

You can orange man bad and conservatives don’t care all you want.

Until Congress passes funding no one can do anything.

One night? I think one night is acceptable. They went without soap, a toothbrush, a blanket how many nights while traveling to cross the border?

Their parents risked these kids lives—they can survive without toothpaste. Give me a break.

I have never had an airline give me a toothbrush. Ever. I fly several times a year; typically 3-4 times internationally and another 2-3 times within the US.
most long flight >10 hr flights give those, plus fuzzy slippers and eyeshade things

I think that's a very fair point.

Good point. Anybody ever get the hot rolled up wet washcloths handed out with tongs?

Why isn’t border patrol treating our illegal aliens like international travelers?

Toothbrushes, fuzzy socks, and eye shades should be mandatory.

They have the time and resources for that. Obviously.

... so.... we are not a civilized country. Got it. Well, to be sure, we do allow lots of guns that most civilized countries don't. We don't provide access to affordable healthcare while other civilized societies do... so.... maybe you're on to something there.

Correct. Our own citizens don’t have health or dental care, so letting more people in and giving them health and dental care will fix that.

Nope. They don't.

The ONLY time I have ever received a toothbrush is when our flight was canceled and we had to stay in a hotel room to catch a morning flight.
I have flown several times internationally. Never given a toothbrush.

I think this is one of the stupidest threads ever started. And, the irony is that it was started by a liberal - and it is the Democrats who are choosing not to vote to give border patrol more money to house and care for these kids.
