We had one great ref, and one really (I mean really) terrible ref. I guess its always a mixed bag no matter.

The fields were decent unlike Bethesda....

2 teams at the top tier of their 07 age age bracket playing teams on the low end of the 06s....I'm not surprised and a quick glance it looked like both 07s dominated their flight. SYA beat Villarreal in the first game, tough to beat the same team twice in the finals.

I am guessing for development and it may have been warranted. I know both Barca Academy and Villarreal use games in their player development plan and in many age groups, there are players playing up age groups on those teams. Both Clubs did well it and they made the Finals in many age groups. In the U14 Boys age group -Villarreal and Barca won the first and second divisions, respectively.

I think it is very tough for tournament directors to get the groupings/brackets 100% right. But, I think they did a really good job overall and most games were competitive for all teams involved. It's always a really well run tournament.

Agreed, what the hell? They have flights to match the levels of play. No one cares about Mclean so move on, head to the mall or something.

You asked for it...how would McLean's first team perform in an older age group?

U9-U12 don’t have DA. Bethesda pre-Academy was in the tournament. The tournament only goes to U14.

I am not sure what the fuss is about. Yes, Bethesda pre academy was placed too low, winning their division's final 8-0, but you never know if the club requested a particular division. Yes, many top teams (which includes DA teams) were not in the tournament, but the quality of competition in the top divisions was decent. If you want to bash a tournament, Bethesda tournament was a total disaster compared to this one.

Doesn't Mclean have their own tournament that noone shows up too.
