This is one of my all time favorite looks.

I know, I don't wear it anymore really but it is one of the most flattering things if you have good legs and a well fitting sweater.

I thought of another one - those huge flower pins/lapels that SJP made popular on Sex and the City. I swear half of my wardrobe had a flower attached.

Wow, fashion victim much?

If pop of color shoes are out, should I not wear my red Rothys?

I am one of the anti-pop of color people and for some reason I have less of a problem with colored flats. T that my opinion matters that much to anyone, but pop of color heels just look like you’re trying way too hard to be sexy and hip. Flats give you a more down to earth and fun vibe instead of try-hard.

Ah so you are a unicorn poster who was wearing 2018 styles in 2002. Tell us - what’s the rage in 2030?

Good one!

Yes and the fancy ones had rhinestones/jewels under the bust.

Casual:
Joggers
Fashion sneakers
Sexy backs on shirts or sweaters
Flowy sleeves
Pencil legged pants with slits or details
Straight legged (not skinny) jeans (french fashion)
Turtlenecks
Cat eye or round sunglasses

Office:
Plaid dresses and tops
Black tights and booties are holding steady
Long, straight coats
Dresses in general- replaces the suit for fashion women at work
Pearls
Luxurious textures
Midi length skirts and dresses
Shortish pants with slits at the ankles
Shoes with small gap at the top
Polka dots
Animal prints. God help us.

Oh, come on. Anyone with a jot of style knew that pinning large froofy flowers to anything and everything was a poor choice. The vast majority of SJP’s clothes from that show were clownish and unrealistic.

Low rise jeans of any shape (I hope these never come back)

But the mom jeans the kids are wearing now are hideous.

That's how I feel. Fashion just doesn't change nearly as fast as it used to. I don't think anything from the early 2000's would look terribly dated today. If you had tried wearing something from the early 70's in 1985, you would have looked like you were from another planet.

With the exception of the flower pin, I don't thin her outfit or hair would really look unusual today.

You guys are all confused about your fashion eras.

Early 00s:
Chunky highlights
Low low low rise jeans
Graphic tees
Platform flip flops
Bucket hats/Von Dutch hats
The multicolored LV speedy
Ruffled miniskirts
Pointy toed heels with boot cut jeans
Cropped blazers and sweaters
Rhinestone detail on satiny shirts
Dressy black pants from Express

Early 2010s:
Colored jeans
Layering sweaters over plaid button ups with a statement necklace
Preppy looks- riding boots over jeans, cable knit sweaters
Those awful J Crew bubble necklaces
Baby poop yellow
Cardigans
Fit and flare 50s housewife skirts/ Anthro throwback aesthetic

I'll happily be out of fashion for my Rothy's. I looooove those shoes. So comfy!
