Rachel Maddow is covering this. Epstein’s civil trial starts tomorrow. This is ALL coming out. Acosta needs to get representation and update his CV. Trump, Dershowitz, and the founder of Rhe Limited, if he’s alive, are probably, finally, screwed. |
Yay! I have been waiting for Rachel to cover this. Thank you trump administration for making me a religious Rachel Maddie watcher! |
Epstein has settled the civil suit that was supposed to begin tomorrow.

Money and power rule the world. Why does this not surprise me? |
Only the state lawsuit was settled. The federal lawsuit is still full steam ahead. |
Why were the names of Epstein’s victims turned over to Epstein’s attorneys?

WOOT!
The Justice Department's inspector general wants authority to investigate a decade-old plea deal in which Acosta allegedly helped accused sex offender Jeffrey Epstein skirt harsh punishment for crimes against teens. https://news.bloomberglaw.com/daily-labor-report/doj-watchdog-wants-to-probe-labor-secretarys-role-in-abuse-deal?utm_campaign=2019-01-29T21%3A48%3A42&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=lawdesk |
Fantastic!!!! |
“DOJ's Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) has opened an investigation into possible professional misconduct in the Jeffrey Epstein case. OPR inquiries usually end, at worst, with employees getting fired. Findings are rarely made public.

It took from November to February for the OPR to decide to pen an investigation. Does the government act swiftly ever?
Here are the heavily redacted FBI reports on the original stories. Only the first two parts are readable. It's mostly just all the local newspaper coverage at the time of the investigations. All the FBI commentary is redacted. EVERY time they mention Epstein they qualify it with "multi millionaire Jeffery Epstein." It makes me think it's code for "hands off." https://vault.fbi.gov/jeffrey-epstein |
Sec Acosta should just resign now, and Epstien, Dersh and Trump (and possibly Clinton) should all be a little nervous.

Epstein, 64, was a regular for several years at Mar-a-Lago. Testimony in a prior court case indicated that Trump flew at least once on one of the planes Epstein owned and Trump’s phone numbers were in Epstein’s personal phone directory.
Trump has also indicated publicly he knew of Epstein’s interest in “younger” women, although he never suggested the financier crossed any legal lines. “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy,’’ Trump told New York Magazine back in 2002. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.” On Monday, lawyers for Maxwell informed the judge that they wanted to ask potential jurors about their knowledge of rape and sexual harassment allegations leveled at Trump during the presidential contest. Maxwell’s legal team wants to ask the jury pool if they know about suits filed—then dropped or dismissed—alleging that Trump and Epstein raped a teen at Epstein’s Manhattan residence. Trump denied the charges. The suits were withdrawn amid media scrutiny, although one attorney for an unnamed accuser said she backed out due to threats. https://www.politico.com/story/2017/05/04/jeffrey-epstein-trump-lawsuit-sex-trafficking-237983 |
Here is the deposition video of "Katie." She details an experience with Trump when she was 13. https://vimeo.com/176181706 |
Boom.
”A judge ruled Thursday that federal prosecutors — among them, U.S. Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta — broke federal law when they signed a plea agreement with a wealthy, politically connected sex trafficker and concealed it from more than 30 of his underage victims. U.S. District Judge Kenneth A. Marra, in a 33-page opinion, said that the evidence he reviewed showed that Jeffrey Epstein had been operating an international sex operation in which he and others recruited underage girls — not only in Florida — but from overseas, in violation of federal law.” https://www.miamiherald.com/news/state/florida/article226577419.html?fbclid=IwAR1vYABaS9G5m4iYuavy0iSnvjPdoA6tfj0jmhIUcUomNg78GIEOAujhuCI |
