Weeping crying.

Also Fried Green Tomatoes.

Fried Green Tomatoes, yes! Haven’t seen Stepmom but the premise seems like it would make me weep.

Just saw My Girl for the first time. It's streaming on Amazon Prime btw. You guys were right! I just skipped ahead to the bee hive scene and cried and cried until the end!

For those with film suggestions, can you please also tell me which scenes are most affecting so I can just get to the money shots?

The very beginning where the Carl as a young man falls in love and dreams with his young wife. Then you see them age... God, I’m tearing up just thinking about that scene. I had just started dating DH. We watched this in the theater. I sobbed such an ugly ugly cry ? I started scaring the kids around me. DH was so embarrassed.

There’s more to it than that. They fall in love as children with the shared dream of going to Paradise Falls to have adventures, but then they become adults with adult responsibilities. They decide to have children but they lost the baby and were never able to have any. Once they reach old age, Carl decides to take Ellie on that adventure to Paradise Falls and buys tickets, but right when he’s surprising her with it she falls ill and ends up dying. So they never realized their dreams of either adventure or children.
