Prior school years. At least a couple.

Can you share what else you know? There are other assumptions in this thread - Ie. That it was a male employee. Is that known? Anything else? What age range was he or she with?

Did the accused ever work at other schools? Daycamps?

Has this been released? How do you know this??

Why the temple hasn’t announced it yet is shameful, but there is a meeting tomorrow night about this, I believe, at 6:30. The more people there, the lore questions asked and answers demanded, the better.

Has anyone who has spoken to the detective or lawyer or a teacher/admin received any additional information they will share?

There isn’t anything to share beyond what you are reading here. There is some speculation as to who, but it’s just total speculation and it would be really wrong to start throwing names around.

Hi. My DS went there in 2015 school and camp. He was in one of the 2 yr old groups. We have since moved out if state and I just randomly signed on and saw this. How do I find out if this is something recent or something my DS could have been exposed to???

Is anyone else thinking of not going now???

We sent our child to 1 session of summer camp and did confirm with the Congregation's General Counsel that the alleged perpetrator was employed through the summer sessions. We are not enrolled in preschool this fall....the logistics of the program do not meet our needs but I am worried that we are going to be left out of important communications because we are no longer enrolled at the school. (I believe we were notified of the incident later than the parents of current enrollees.) We would like to attend the meeting on Thursday but have heard nothing from WHC on that matter.

Problem with DJ is her complete and total hubris. A headmistress on an ego trip doesn't = responsible for children being molested. But... DJ has created a culture of secrecy, and of one-woman rule, that doesn't belong in a preschool. She is not responsible for what this suspect may have done (and isn't a terrible person). But the issue brings to a head the need for her to find the door...or for parents to send their kids elsewhere.

Email the school or their attorney.

This exactly is the problem. We don’t have a child at WHC anymore because we left over the fact that we didn’t trust DJ to do her best to keep our children safe. In the 1 year we were there when she was director (we’d been there with previous directors and had no issues) I can’t even count how many times something inappropriate happened with various teachers and not only did she defend the teachers she made the parents involved feel crazy for bringing these issues to her. If it happens one time in a year you can brush it off as maybe the parent was difficult but it happened so many times in that year over things that were definitely inappropriate. Unfortunately things can happen anywhere with the best directors but given what I know of DJs history this should be the last strike for her. Not because this happened on her watch but because of her cavalier attitude.

What do you mean inappropriate things happened like what? I assume nothing like what is currently alleged, but still serious?

Exactly. Nothing worthy of involving the police but things that could lead to that and should be taken seriously.
