See, that's exactly the issue. I've been in this area for years and have multiple kids in travel, but still I see posts which someone new to the area would consider "good information" that are complete garbage.

The point being, you really need to take everything you read here with a grain of salt. The posts by Ranting Soccer Dad are the most trusted, in my opinion because he is accountable and his reputation is at stake. Everything posted under "anonymous" is done from behind the protection of a keyboard and screen veil, and there is no accountability. Lots of bad information on this forum, some good, and trying to figure out which is which is next to impossible without having experience with the given situations and knowing the "players."

Great point and something to keep in mind for inexperienced people like the OP who think they can separate the wheat from the chaff in these threads.

No, actually that wouldn't be correct. Back in those years it was before the birth year shift. So that team as it was was a collection of 03s and 04s. Dan Ayoub coaches the 04g team.

So it looks like the guy was another victim of google. But the point that it was misleading to post the one result in VPL for last fall is probably fair. That team went on to do OK in Div 4 NCSL,which is more suited to their level than the VPL teams who were vastly superior.

Dan coached the 03g purple before the age group change. After, most of the group being 04s, he took the 04 purple.

The 03 group for last year was made up of players from the blaze and 03 gold from the previous year.

Teams had continually gotten taken away from him due to parent and player complaints. That pre-age group change 03g purple team was his until he got pulled and they brought Dan in. That group is now one of the best in the club as 04s. Seems like some coaches can do well with the talent at CYA.

The Annual CYA General Membership Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 at the Bennett Road Shed in Oakton. One of the primary functions of the General Membership Meeting is to elect members to sit on the CYA Board of Directors. The CYA Board of Directors is comprised of 11 total members. This year, 5 positions are up for election: Vice President, Treasurer and 3 “at large” positions. Nominations are currently being accepted via the link at the bottom of this email. The deadline to register as a candidate is 5:00pm on Tuesday, September 25th. The final ballot will be posted on the CYA Website on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018.

Yes, they're doing well. It's too bad he was going around telling everyone that half those girls weren't good enough 6 months ago and he didn't care if they left. Also, helps that FCV, PWSI, GFR, and VSA all sent their top players to academy...
