I've followed Kent boese for years online, first as just a neighborhood historian, to ANC mebber to now council candidate
Don't know about the other candidate, but Boese would do a great job and would never mail it in like Nadeau |

| My sense of the council? Nadeau shouldn’t be on it. She seems to be ignoring the Line Hotel, the tax abatements that it received but didn’t provide the required jobs. Next they get their taxes and assessment mysteriously lowered. Ward 1 needs a council member that does something other than p/r. |
I think this is an excellent question. |
| The jobs issue? Small change when you look at the campaign donations in the district. |
Someone needs to tell her campaign that it’s unlawful to put campaign materials in mail slots. |
| Boese is looking good heading into the final weeks of the Ward #1 campaign. The problem? The democratic field is crowded. The two other candidates Reid and Parker, are no where near as qualified as Boese and really don't have a chance, but they'll take enough votes from Boese and guarantee Nadeau the victory. |
|
Someone needs to tell her it’s a bad idea to label her neighbors as racist. |
| Saw the Ward 1 Independent Boyd at Candidate forum at the Midlands. He came in provided facts and figures, spoke to the questions, and blew the others away and he didn’t use any notes. He said he was a former Marine and teacher. I fear for anyone that has to debate him alone. |
My friend lived in an apartment building that received a multi-million dollar tax abatement. Just like the Line Hotel, the building wasn't living up to it's end of the bargain. I informed Brianne Nadeau about it and she sent me the political equivalent of "thoughts and prayers". She touts affordable housing but doesn't actually care once the photo op is done. |
Greg Boyd is great. He won't be on the ballot until November 6. Until then, he is vocal on Twitter that he supports Kent Boese in the DC primaries on June 19th (or before with early voting). |
|
Boyd also seems to own the Washington Post. He has had more letters to the editor printed than anyone I know of. He posted a letter about Rhee that he wrote in 2009.
Check out his Twitter Beltway Greg Boyd. If you send him an email he'll answer you promptly. I'd love to see him on the council. |

"Nadeau initially refused to comment on her position on Initiative 77, and only clarified that she opposes it when WAMU informed her that she had said so at a candidate forum. "
https://wamu.org/story/18/05/17/bowser-d-c-council-members-oppose-away-tipped-wage-restaurant-workers/ Miss Wishy Washy is back at it again! |
Wishy-Washy and a master of alternative facts. Claiming she secured any funding to improve schools is laughable. Her multi-million dollar dog park is about to cost our schools in long overdue and much needed repairs and improvements when she goes back into DGS's Capital Funds for more $ since the property she wants to buy appraised far above the 1.5 million. All this money just two blocks from an underfunded, high needs school which can't even get money to repair tiles. |
