It would be super helpful for the rest of us if you could post all of your other opinions on here so that we can avoid all of the hassle of thinking for ourselves and simply march along with you.

If I liked the person who worked at the NRA, it wouldn't stop me from being friends. But if it's someone I liked, it would also be someone I could talk to directly. I'd bring up the issues i see with it. I'd ask how they got into the work, and if they are happy there. If they don't have any issues with it, I might ask how they see it, as they are clearly someone who values xyz. It'd be a great opportunity to learn more!

How are the things you described different than someone who works for something like Tobacco that kills hundreds of thousands of people a year? Tobacco has killed far more people than terrorism has or will.

Also, it may be helpful to (i) adjust your medication, and (ii) think back and try to discovery just what in your educational background went so horribly wrong that it destroyed your critical thinking mechanisms. Don't put tobacco in the same category as the NRA. In 2018, who doesn't know about the consequences of smoking? People smoke at their own risk. Otoh, the NRA actively tries to stop reasonable gun control legislation. That's morally reprehensible.

I wouldn't be bothered by someone who works for a tobacco company any more than I would be bothered by someone who works for a liquor company. NRA, deal breaker.

I'm a "live and let live" kind of person OP. If someone is nice, I make friends with them. I don't judge them by the work they do as long as it is legal. Not everyone gets their dream job.
