Possible to lose 10 pounds in 6 weeks?

This thread is confusing me?? It is very easy to lose 10 lbs in 6 weeks! I lost 18 pounds in 4 weeks at 32. I went on a 1200 calorie per day diet and exercised on the treadmill at the highest elevation for 45 minutes 4 days a week. Yes, I gained the weight back, but that wasn't the OP's question

That was easy for you, but not for everyone. My maintenance calories--that is, neither gain nor lose is about 1550, with exercise (had a bod pod metabolism testing) I'm 5'1" and 46 years old and 120#. And that's with 4x week of both 55 min cardio and 45-60 min weight lifting. So for me to lose 10 lbs at 1200 calories/day, it would take about 102 days, or 14 weeks. While it is great that it was easy for you, its not easy for everyone.

Right, but the op asked if it were possible. For me and many others, the answer is yes.
