Well, best of luck to them. Given that three out of her four children and her sister have ended up divorced, I don't think I'm going out on a limb to suggest that QEII shouldn't regard herself as being any kind of expert judge on appropriate spouses for people, so telling Harry she's unsuitable (as opposed to who? Fergie?) would be a bit rich. But I don't think she will.

Even her Suits character is presented as biracial with Wendell Pierce playing her father. Her other roles were so minor that ambiguity was less about "passing" than blink and you miss her.

It's not the character she plays that makes her white identified.

Yes. I know minorities like her. They are treated as, and think of themselves as "tan white girls." The historical issues people of color face do not apply to them because they do not look very different than white people. They wear their hair straight, only hangout with white people, dress like whites people, make white people cultural references.

When you ask them about race they say race isn't really a thing.

So black women who wear weaves and wigs made out of Indian hair are self loathing? your argument makes no sense. Straigthening her hair doesn't mean she is hiding being part black.

Please. The palace has been with her the whole time, putting out statements telling the press to lay off, her meeting the Queen as well as all the other members of the royal family. She actually lives at Harry's place in Buckingham palace when she's in town.

This is apart of a coordinated roll out leading up to engagement news, trying to get the public to accept her. It's PR 101.

This was definitely approved by the palace. In fact, it may have been pushed/encouraged by the palace.

Meghan isn't promoting anything in this interview- her show, any side business, not even any philanthropy. There's not even much meat to the interview section of the article, other than the quotes about Harry. This seems to be a preapproved first stage in the media rollout of their engagement.

She is dating the spare not the heir. The palace is not concerned about her. The Queen and the family will be polite but they won't interfere. She really doesn't matter as much as Kate who bore the current heir and spare.

When was the last time yuh read anything about Princess Anne or the Prines Andrew or Edward? Harry is in their situation.
