Uh-oh.... no Bachelor in Paradise... too raunchy?

This is better than Joe Millionaire's smooching & giggling sounds

If someone was drinking under the assumption there was a certain amount of alcohol in a drink (1-2x a normal drink), but BIP was making drinks much stronger without telling the recipient, that is essentially a form of drugging someone. Of course you might assume the drinks are made a little stronger, but for example, if they were adding vodka to a drink that doesn't normally have it because it makes the drink stronger without tasting it -- that's not much different than a date rape drug.

I'm NOT saying that happened, but just as an example of how the show could have liability. There are assumptions people operate under when drinking, and If those were manipulated, the person/organization manipulating them could be at fault.

You would guess that BIP has ironclad legal releases the contestants have signed... which is why I have to think something extreme or actionable happened for them to pull the show. Their attorneys have to have advised them "That may not be covered by what they signed" or the details were such a PR nightmare the risk outweighed the reward.

BIP is out a ton of money with the season being cancelled. They don't don't do that unless there is risk to the organization -- plenty of past cast have gotten themselves into trouble and it didn't touch the show/org. My guess is the org/producers did something to put them at risk, not just the contestant.

Looks like Blondie had some morning after regrets. I think she was all in with Demario, realized later she messed up her current relationship, and now is scrambling to save her relationship and "brand". When the video leaks it's going to be all over for her. I'm frustrated that Demario has to get dragged along for this "I'm a victim" drive.

These people shouldn't need babysitters. They're adults.

I don't get why they couldn't have just kicked DeMario and Corinne off the show, and edited it so that they were never on the show, and continue production, or even just leave them on the show and leave that part to the imagination. Why did production stop and why was it all made public already if there is an investigation? Say they made Corinne and DeMario stop what they were doing, and DeMario got aggressive and did something to a producer. I could see that kind of assault happening.

Where is it reported it was that the female involved was Corinne? I've only spotted mention of DeMario so far.

Agree with most of this - I suspect there's nothing to any claims against him especially since she apparently seemed willing and actively involved on the video (all the bra burners are online comparing this to Brock Turner - SERIOUSLY!?!? that woman was UNCONSCIOUS!! The only weird part is the the producer initially supposedly brought the charge, not her.

Both the show and contestants are trash. What on Earth do they expect?

A producer filed a complaint upon witnessing the "events." I haven't heard the details of the complaint. I know he/she did not show up to work the next day (per AmyKinLA's twitter feed). I'm taking this to be some sort of employment issue (can't interfere with the cast when things are going bad, etc.) Warner Bros. shut down production, not the police (not a criminal type thing).

Reality Steve just released his column for today, which I'm sure will have more information in it. (More chronologically organized, etc. than random internet links)

I agree with you. If the franchise survives this, hopefully the casting will be with the contestants who have better morals (i.e., Jared, Carly, etc.) and not the Chads and Corinnes of the franchise. Hopefully they'll stop casting the Chads and Corinnes from all their shows!

Dramatically different account that makes it sound WAY more like a rape.

One of the complaints I read this morning was that the show was negligent in not calling an ambulance given Corinne was way beyond normal levels of drunk and kept passing out in the pool and needing to be lifted up by Demario. Apparently hours later she was still having trouble speaking and someone made the call to let her sleep it off ...

Hmm, I wonder if the shows overlapped - I was watching the latest episode of The Bachelorette, in which former cast members including Corinne showed up. Corinne was uncharacteristically (based on how we've typically seen her on the shows) quiet. Wonder if all this DeMario stuff had gone down already, and she's trying to keep a low profile.
