+1 I buy all the boring crap from walmart online. Aluminum foil, papertowels, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, household food for the kids like goldfish and mandarin oranges, sponges, tissues, food containers, etc etc etc. I don't need to price compare because they always have the cheapest prices on this crap. I just go online and it only takes a few minutes because I mostly shop off my previous orders.

At Costco, I always get a cart and never a flat trailer thing. Once the cart is full, it's time to check out. Sometimes I throw in a book or clothes but even those impulse buys tend to get worn for years, so I get my money's worth. DH loves the random shirt or sweater and it keeps me out of the mall, which I loathe.

yes. this is the way to do it! I do the same thing at the grocery store when I just need a few items.
