Exactly. I am a big fan of putting thignsin my Amazon cart and then waiting to see if I really want to buy it--or wait until payday to make an order, etc. Amazon Prime covers nearly everything we would buy at Target. I go to Target occasionally when I actually want to browse! |
I live 2 minutes from Walmart. I do all my shopping there. I don't have to go inside if I don't want to. I order online, pay online, pick up around back. I love it. Target doesn't deserve my money. We have Sam's Club, no Costco. Our membership offers all kinds of extras. What I don't get is all you women having no financial self control. Apparently you can afford to shop or you wouldn't. Just saying. |
| I do this when I'm about to head Target and need to fight the urge because of it's exorbitant prices. Picture all the crap they sell (in addition to some good stuff) piled outside, out of context, divorced from the slick sales props and lighting. I recoil and go to the Dollar Store. Where at least it looks like crap both inside and out. |
Isn't walmart a $50 minimum? I got a bunch of pantry items there just to get to the minimum but the boxes all came smushed. First and last time I did that. |

We recently went up in Hhi, so I started feeling comfortable going to target again. I ALSO found that my average was $100. Crazy to me bc, yes, before the raise, I wouldn't have so easily spent $100.
MOSTLY stuff on our shopping list, but maybe I would have put off, or bought one by one from Amazon prime. |
| I think Walmart is a 30 min. 50 min for the first-timer coupon. I know, because I did it for the first time yesterday. It was surprisingly awesome and ours had great customer service. |
| I feel like target stuff isn't as good as it used to be |
Wanna add. The deals get me every time. Getting DD done school shoes. Target is actually an affordable place to go! Buy one get one half off. Plus 15% cartwheel. And my 5% off target debit. So I bought two pair. Frankly I got the two for an awesome price. But I did spend $8-10 more than originally planning. Also, DH wanted pants, and those were full price. Add in a few other snacks, cleaning supplies that maybe I didn't need. And we're at $100. |
$100 just doesn't get as much as you'd think anymore. I went into Target for some snacks for my daughter and left with $80 bucks worth of snacks and other stuff. Nothing crazy. Hand soap. Granola bars. Cereal. And boom $80. |
|
I go to Target regularly.
I don't think the prices are that much different from other places, especially when I use my target card. It's closer for me than any Walmart or Costco. I do go to Costco still though for paper products and other items. THAT'S the store I always end up leaving with a bunch of stuff that I didn't actually go there for. |
|
I go to Target on a fairly frequent basis. I can easily go in there and just browse and not buy anything.
Almost bought some Archer Farms Pumpkin/seed/granola snacks but passed. Still thinking about them... |
Really true. Also I planned to spend something like 20-30. The Amazon shoes were more expensive. But if I had just bought those, I would have spent, say 40, and spaced out those other things over two months, instead of one day, or not purchased them at all. Target gets me every time. |
You will buy them now. You just self-marketed. I do it all the time, and i recognize it when I see it!
|
| I go to Target to stock up on La Croix once a month...and end up with a cart full of other random stuff. $200 last weekend and all I remember buying is Chobani and toilet paper. |
|
I stopped going to Target months ago and am surprised that I don't really miss. I thought I would.
The store is clean and nice to shop in but their prices and quality don't seem as good. The ladies clothes specifically. I was overspending on impulse items like seasonal things so this really cuts down on that. |
