As both their mother and Diana show, she's divorceable. They are members of the family firm by birth. They don't have to be nice to her. Their position is not threatened at all.

Actually Charles wants only his children and their families at the forefront going forward and he's already implemented that change. So if they want to keep at the top of the heap, they should shape up[b]. Antagonizing Kate now, even if she and Will do ever divorce, will just hasten their demotion to the practice squad.

This just shows that you don't follow royal gossip and are just speculating. It's been confirmed by various sources that they were pretty disappointed about not being "allowed" to be working royals (meaning a subsidy from the government in return for going to events) and instead had to get real jobs. Can't really blame them, myself. I'd be disappointed too in their position. That's what their parents led them to believe would be their futures.

That's exactly what I was thinking! I'd trade practicing law for an international party girl gig any day! Sounds like a great life to me, especially if you're independently wealthy and could maintain a lavish lifestyle if things went south with the investment banker or lord.
