What school would you pick if you can't afford Marshall?

My neighbors kids go to Pine Spring (my kids are not school age). They love it. Not sure why it's Title 1 since they are all fairly well off.

it is title 1 because while there are wealthier kids who go to the school, there are a lot of kids who are not (61% FARMS rate). Our neighborhood is split into 4 elementary school largely in part to add to the socioeconomic diversity of the schools.

now don't associate a Title 1 school with a being bad. yes, it means there are more low income kids, but it doesn't mean the school is not a good school.

That's Marshall. The OP already stated they were looking for other options.

OP said they were looking for other options because they could not afford Marshall. That post with Pimmit Hills and a few other Marshall homes was to show that they could afford a few homes within the Marshall boundary - not a bunch of inventory, but there are some choices.

Please read more carefully.

Nothing wrong with my reading. I'm familiar with Pimmitt Hills (live in another area of 22043). Most of what goes on the market there is either a McMansion rebuild out of her budget or a 900sqft $hitshack. I think OP was looking to broaden her options a bit.

Ok, your reading is fine. Maybe you should learn how to click on links then.

I have no issue clicking on links, and have done that. I stand by my original assessment.

^ You guys could play nicer with each other.

In any event, to hit the reset button, I just looked at current listings in OP's price range in the schools she thinks she's shut out of - Madison, McLean and Marshall - and would confirm there are only two single-family houses currently listed. One is in the Timber Lane area and is being marketed as a teardown. The other is in Pimmit Hills and in OK condition, but very small.

If you are not sending your kids to Madison, then I feel sorry for you.
