| My neighbors kids go to Pine Spring (my kids are not school age). They love it. Not sure why it's Title 1 since they are all fairly well off. |
it is title 1 because while there are wealthier kids who go to the school, there are a lot of kids who are not (61% FARMS rate). Our neighborhood is split into 4 elementary school largely in part to add to the socioeconomic diversity of the schools. now don't associate a Title 1 school with a being bad. yes, it means there are more low income kids, but it doesn't mean the school is not a good school. |
I have no issue clicking on links, and have done that. I stand by my original assessment. |
^ You guys could play nicer with each other.
In any event, to hit the reset button, I just looked at current listings in OP's price range in the schools she thinks she's shut out of - Madison, McLean and Marshall - and would confirm there are only two single-family houses currently listed. One is in the Timber Lane area and is being marketed as a teardown. The other is in Pimmit Hills and in OK condition, but very small. |
| If you are not sending your kids to Madison, then I feel sorry for you. |
