Wow. I had no idea some people had so much time to be thinking about where a random stranger has a tattoo, and what that means for their life.
I can only assume (since we are doing lots of assuming here) that the women saying that it is "only" for the men are the type of women who bow down to their husbands and let him control them, because I know personally, nothing I do or don't do with my body is for anyone but me. If my husband likes it as well - super! If he doesn't - oh well. |
I heard that's what men in prison have on their backs for the alpha males. |
| I thought they were called this because all the strippers and porn stars had them. |
this |
But some of us are saying that we got them a long time ago and still love them. I think that defines a "solid long-term choice." |
Yes, I spend TONS of time thinking about this. Not. Really not worth my time worrying about trashy women would like visible markers that they are sluts. Does anyone actually get one these days? Thought it was a slut fad back in the 90s. |
| At least you can cover it up |
Then don't get one. |
| A girl I worked with had one done in her early 20s. When she met the man she was going to marry he paid for her to get it removed before they got married. |

You know, I wonder about the purpose of these threads. Of all of the tattoo threads I see on this board, I've only seen one or two that have asked for advice about tattoos. The vast majority of them seem to only exist to put down people who have tattoos.
I find then that people get very judgmental about those of us who have chosen to decorate our skin, and even reply nastily to well-worded and thoughtful posts. The people I find to be tacky on these threads are the ones who put us down, who insult us, who call us names and try to convince us that we've done something dirty and wrong. Why? |
That's great, if she wanted to get rid of it. Fortunately, people are able to make decisions about their own bodies, and tattoos can sometimes be removed. On the other hand, if one of his stipulations for marrying her was that she remove the tattoo, he just might be a judgmental jerk. (I don't know the couple, so of course I can't know for sure.) |
they are jealous of your coolness. |
It's odd and all the slut this and that is what's trashy. Calling people sluts for getting tattoos, really? In some cultures tattoos are the norm. Are those people slutty? I don't get why someone doing something you wouldn't do can't just be someone doing something you wouldn't do. I don't have tattoos, I'm never getting any, but I don't care that other people have or get them, we all have agency and autonomy over our bodies and can decorate or not decorate them as we like. As for calling someone a slut, I can't believe adults with children are doing that in 2016. But then this site is full of women who love to wear pantyhose so clearly the age skews elderly rather than middle age. |
The topic is "tramp stamps", not "all tattoos ever in the history of the world". Please try to keep up. |
