We actually don't know that they've applied for the K1, so it's not that far-fetched. The show claims that's the premise, but part of the requirement is to have spent time together in person, yet Nicole and Azan are meeting for the first time, so they obviously haven't gotten one.

That said, Jorge was arrested and jailed for selling marijuana before he got into the business legally. He has a felony conviction, which rental agences ask about, so that may hinder getting an apartment. Still, pretty boring secret to be dragged out for 4 episodes.

Nicole and Azan are in Morocco, meeting the requirement to have spent time together in person before applying for the K-1. The show goes through the entire K-1 process, which includes getting your papers in line.

I am kind of incredulous people leaped to Jorge being undocumented as his secret. I don't want to drop the racist card but come on. He speaks with an American accent and the show does vet these people, at least a little.

I really wonder how much Jorge makes. I know he said he makes 6 figures, but he really seems to struggle with her expensive requests. In the upcoming episode she is trying on a 45K wedding dress, and I highly doubt he can afford it. He is probably getting himself into some serious debt trying to keep her happy. She is so obviously after his money, I don't understand why he is being such a sucker.

I like Alla and I feel bad for her being attacked by his family and friends because of his past. It seems really unfair.

Nicole is so annoying. She is extremely needy and insecure. He needs to dump her. She should be home with her daughter, not desperately chasing some dude in another country.

Yes, she's definitely not the brightest. I was surprised how jealous and upset he was that she cheated on him, as his distaste for her is usually very apparent. However, his family seemed so genuine and nice.

How come no one thinks Anfisa is using Jorge? She asked for a $10k/month allowance and almost broke up with him because he wouldn't buy her a Chanel bag.

Lowo is using Narkyia, but he'll likely stay with her for a few years before running off with another woman. It also doesnt seem like he actually gets his visa because they don't do any joint interviews together in the first episode. Either way, he's Nigerian which is a RED FLAG!

Initially, I was weary of the Azan/Nicole courtship, but I actually think he liked her at one point, but she is really irritating. No respect for culture. And I think it's odd that she would leave her toddler for a month. They also never show her talking about her daughter since she left.

I feel bad for Pedro. Chantel's placed him in an awful position. And her behavior in the club in Florida was unacceptable. I'm not sure that she's ready for marriage.

Not to take this completely off topic, but people like to think that undocumented immigrants are all dirty men hanging out in the parking lot of Home Depot, or sex workers scumming up the community. Many, many of the 11 million were brought here as very young children under legitimate visas and overstayed, thus becoming undocumented. Others came as children and never knew they were in the country illegally until they had to apply for college. Many of these people speak with American accents and appear as "American" as you or anyone else. They ARE Americans, and have little or no connection to their country of citizenship. Some may not even speak the language anymore.

I don't know why you assumed that my thinking people jumping to that conclusion means that I think all undocumented immigrants are a stereotype. I do think that people think that all undocumented immigrants are Hispanic (another misconception) which is why I think it DOES actually imply a little bit of racial bias to immediately leap to that being his secret despite numerous obvious contextual clues that he is a citizen (although I suppose we don't know if he is a natural born citizen or not).

Actually, I am not sure on this, one. Maybe he liked the video version of her. He seems to love Morocco and the culture, so I'm not sure that he was really scheming to move to America. Agree that he does not seen to like her much now AND that she seems incapacable or unwilling to grasp the cultural differences!
