On a more personal level either people I've known and disliked or people I have heard of doing bad or distasteful things: Ted, Wayne, Adam, Dylan/Dillon, Patrick, Bryan, Darron/Darren, Ashley, Brittany, Tiffany, Crystal, Lisa, Steve, Monique

And, as a teacher, names of former difficult students: Destiny, Jayden/Kayden/Brayden, Christian, Julian, Dominic, Anthony, Michael, Emma

Ayatollah is a title, not a given name.

yes, I realize that. My first set of 'bad names' was kind of a joke. I sincerely doubt anyone is planning to name their kid Attila or Caligula. I was just coming up w/ a list of evil people.

Attila would be a kine of bad-*ss name, I like it.

The name Hannibal (Anibal) is used in Spanish so why not Attila?

DH and I really liked the idea of naming our second child Sylvia if it was a girl. Although I worried about it being a tragic name because the only other Sylvia I can think of is Sylvia Plath. Second child was a boy though.

Also, not everyone is Christian. I wouldn't have made that connection because I don't know the bible stories.

+1

Cain and Abel is not a Christian bible story.

Say wha? The whole bible is Christian. Old AND New Testament. It's an Old Testament story, but yes, it is one that Christians are taught.

Jews are taught it as well.

It’s also in the Quran. But it’s fine to say it’s a Christian story bc it’s taught in Christianity. Why be dense?
