Mundo Verde Waitlist moving

Agree. This would pretty much be impossible, given the lottery algorithm.

You may think its impossible but it happened. We were #1 on the waitlist for Garrison, got in and declined.

Not at all I am happy MV makes many people happy. It's ludicrous to see the parents look down on others and really think that MV is the only choice for families. Especially when MV is not established or tested.

Show one post, just one, where someone acts as if MV is "the only choice for families". Being enthusiastic is not the same as looking down on someone else or saying your school is "the only" school. You're saying it happens, show even one post where it does, or admit that you are pissy about MV for some reason and you're exaggerating MV parent attitudes.

No dog in this fight but I also got the same impression from earlier posts. The "how dare you" and "if you don't put it top 3 you don't deserve it" did give that impression to me as well. What I find amusing, however, is the level of defensiveness with which you replied. I know that's par for the course on DCUM, but the doth protest too much, methinks.

Got in before you got into to MV? That's not possible. Once you got into Garrison, you should have dropped off the WL for MV. Your post doesn't not make sense. Which did you get into to first?

I don't think this is true - you'd be dropped off the MV waitlist if you enrolled at Garrison, but just getting an acceptance does not make you drop off of any lower WL spot.

If you decline a WL spot at one school, you stay on the WL for lower ranked schools (it happened to me too).

Right. We stayed on the waitlist. You only drop lower ranked schools during the lottery. If we had gotten into Garrison outright MV would not have been waitlisted.

We therefore were dropped at all of our other choices ...

You only drop for lowers if you get into higher ranked during lottery or you enroll into higher after the lottery. You do not drop from lower of you get offered a slot and decline.

We did not have MV in our top half because location, rumors about bullying, not have test scores available (I know not the schools fault) and aftercare. Quite honestly, we had 9 schools higher because they were proven better schools.

You are only dropped off when you enroll--if you don't, you stay on the other waitlists
