I've moved 3 spots for PK4, but like PP, I was in the 100s.

Single digits for 1st - no movement.

I was bumped up a spot from #11 to #12 for K.

We've moved up a bunch of spots for PK3 and been bumped back one for K.

And now we've gone two spots in the other direction for K, so we've has a one spot net gain in the right direction!

It has! I'm an earlier poster and we're now #10 instead of #12.

For K if you moved back 2 spaces - think through exactly what that means.

At least 2 families with children who are enrolled have a child on the waitlist who is in front of you. So for the current people who are enrolled, how many will need to decide to go somewhere else for you to realistically get a call?

Actually, I mean that our number is two smaller. Meaning we are 2 spots closer to getting a call. Although given our number, I don't expect to, and I'm totally fine with that. Does it make you feel better to rain on someone's parade to point that out, though? There are many parents who are quite upset about their lottery results (although I am not one of them). I don't understand the need to be needlessly negative toward people who are just looking for a little hope.

I'm probably getting a call very soon. We just broke into the 300s. Yeah. I know you're jealous.

You must be new to DCUM.

Nope, I'm not new. But every time I read a "mean girls" post, I still think it's rotten. This board seems to be primarily read by women, and could really be a place where women support other women. Instead, it's often Lord of the Flies.

More positivity in expecting and trying to conceive forums. I go there when I need my spirits lifted.
