Someone posted on another thread that it's $420/month. I think before care was another $120? So yes, that really is a lot more than most schools. |
| Turned down a spot at Yu Ying for PK4 to stay at Mundo. Yes the aftercare is expensive, but there is a sliding scale. I am hoping they can add more aftercare specials next year, such as some sports skills sessions. |
Sliding scale? What's the scale like? Is it just reduced for kids who get FARMs, or is it reduced for other households that may be between FARM and ability to pay $420 (or $840 for 2 kids). |
| Is 11 a realistic pk4 waitlist? |
I bet you can't qualify for sliding scale with an expensive mortgage... |
Ha, actually my housing cost is only slightly more than the cost of aftercare for 2 kids at MV. I have the HHI to match

Straight from MV website, aftercare cost.

Nothing about a sliding scale there. |
| Just got called off the wait list for K. #11 on the waiting list. We have until the 15th to decide. |
Not sure what you are reading, but I am a NP who just clicked the link and saw the sliding scale for reduced and free lunch recipients. |
To answer my own question, yes. We just got in from the 11 spot. And we had it as our 12th choice. |
But what's the scale? |
(How little do you have to make to qualify) |
| NP here, is the discounted price for a sibling? |
Good for you if you're happy about it and will take it, but this is exactly why the lottery is still flawed. As many families who are dying to get into Mundo Verde, to me no one who lists it 12 should get in if there are hundreds who listed in in the top 3. |
