It's a fad not to circumcise. It's already turning back around, not that the Peds have changed their views and insurance is paying again. We looked into not circing, but nurses we talked to told us that they were seeing too many boys circumcised at 10, 11, 12 due to infections. Since we ended up having a child with a disability, I'm REALLY glad we did it. Otherwise I would be in charge of cleaning and hygiene even now that he is a teen. Moms should think about that, especially with the high autism rates and other disabilities. |
| now that the Peds have changed their views---^^^ |
| My husband is circumcised and does not feel he was "mutilated" nor has he ever had any difficulty enjoying sex. Aesthetically, we both prefer circumcised. So we will circumcise. Like many other posters, I really don't care what others decide for their sons. |
| My dh and young adult sons are all intact. None has ever had any of these 'issues' of being uncirc, that I only hear about on boards like this-never from friends and family who are actually in the medical field...I'm currently preg and neither my ped or my ob recommends circ. |
| Why do you think that it is a "hippy" thing and not an international thing? |
|
You criticize other people's choice and accuse them to be judgmental !!!
LOL |
+1M But, this goes for just about everyone that posts on this site. |
I have not personally noticed this, nor have i heard others mention this before. |
And uncirc men know of another way. Alrighty now! |
Right. How can anyone take this rant seriously? |
Yuck, who wants a soft penis! |
| All 4 of my sons were born in California. 3 of them (the younger 3) are not circ'ed. |
+1 If you want your son to be a competitive swimmer or biker it's really a must. |
| Against all blood shed that can be avoided. |
I am never going to look at a competitive swimmer or a biker the same way again.
