There is nothing to minimize…the school is great…a select few are/were unhappy…you can't make all the people happy all of the time…no one or school can…

It's families talking about other families and students and students. What you see in the posts about the chaplain are pretty standard behavior at WES. No wonder it's such an unhappy place with so many students and families leaving.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with this. The teacher and admin. gossip was unacceptable. The mean teachers are all still in place (the ones we left to get away from). The heads of the school either support the teachers against the parents or do nothing at all. Woe to that mom or dad who is labeled "difficult" when all they are trying to do is help their child. Once you get that label, all teachers and admin. stop supporting your kid and line up an offense against you. I saw it happen many times.

What you just described was also our experience at WES -- a total nightmare. They do nothing and almost dare you to leave. Well, it's getting pretty empty there these days. How's that working out for them now?

Current parent here: Things are fine at WES. I read these last posts as baseless accusations from an unhappy parent or two who left WES and cannot find happiness in their new life. Well without any data on enrollment and exmissions to back their claims, these posts are mere slanders, that is all.

Another current parent here... Totally agree. Things are fine at WES.

People who are "gossiping" and continuously and pointlessly talking about what to call a female Episcopalian priest in this forum are either former WES parents or not even related to WES at all at any point. They are not "people at WES".

WES loses teachers like every other school, and apparently, as the data by a PP suggest, the rate is much lower than other private schools. We don't need to discuss this even further.

NP. Another WES family who believes that DC has received a terrific education. There are two relentless posters who simply can't move on. I'd feel sorry for them except that they're so mean-spirited.

Well done WES marketing team! The problem is that every time your recruits post, it moves the WES thread to the first page so more people read about your problems.

I think the problems are obvious to everyone without the blog. But this makes for some great reading. We are leaving WES this year. DC has been very uncomfortable and is excited to go. Signed, Current Parent

I find this sort of post irritating. All negative posts are new, disinterested posters, and all positive posts are sham posts by admin. Don't know this school, but every school I've ever been around had some supporters and some detractors. Why insist all negative posts are from 1-2 families, or that all positive posts are by school administrators? It's annoying.

PP, when life isn't annoying you enough, you know can count on this thread to be irritating. I bet you are like the lab mouse, coming back for more over and over again!
