Kiss and Ride on rainy days

Notice the nearby large school?

Check it out on a rainy day?

Look at the school dropoff traffic flow?

This is not everyone else's fault/issue as you seem to believe.

Not OP, but even if you did that schools can change over time. Our charming little neighborhood school that had under 400 students when we moved here 8 years ago, has turned into an AAP center and ballooned to close to 700 on it's way to a projected 900. That can completely change the neighborhood and believe me there was no way of knowing no matter how well you did your research that that was going to happen down the road.

And I would disagree. I think that the school and the communities around them are everyone's issue. We need to find a way to work together on this or this area is going to become a much less pleasant place to live.

We need to go back to community schools. Saves money and is better for everyone.

Truer words were never spoken. And extra support for schools in low SES districts

And yes, as a walker, it DOES affect me. The traffic situation in our neighborhood and near our school is truly bad enough. Our school is too large as it is (we have over 1000 students). Adding all the extra people to the roads who just can't be bothered to put their kids on a bus in the rain creates a seriously dangerous situation for everyone.

Not to mention, the busses wind up sitting in the traffic because of the design of the roads - there truly is only one way in and one way out of our school.

By being selfish, you really are messing up everyone's day. Although, I do get a little bit of a kick out of walking past all of you that I passed on my way to the school STILL sitting in traffic on my way back.

Thank god I do not live in Little Rocky Run.
