Are you trying to speak oriental? |

while i've dated and remain open to dating white guys, i can honestly say that i have always been caught off guard when approached by one. with black men, 90% of the time, i know pretty quickly if a man is interested. with white men, it never crosses my mind. i don't know if its because i'm not looking for or expecting it or if their approach is just different than what i'm used to. or perhaps its a numbers game. i meet black men regularly whereas white men only express clear interest (that i'm aware of) about 4-5 times a year. i interact with many daily and its usually platonic/professional. with black men, it usually feels like interest is obvious in body language and eye contact, then flirtation, followed by him finding a reason to sustain dialogue over a longer period of time. example...we're attending the same conference. he strikes up a conversation related to the discussion then finds commonalities and a reason for us to keep in touch. once we chat by phone, he steps up the flirtation and then makes a move. i love that!
with the white guys i've met, its usually 0 to 60 in little time and i'm completely caught off guard once a move is made. again, it could be that i'm misreading signals but i'm always puzzled which can read as disinterest. |
agreed |
| I always assume white guys approach because of some fetish, not because they are interested in a relationship with me. |

^^^^ probably because of the history of slavery in this country. White men had sex with black women ALL the time! It accounts for the ranges of complexions in the AA community.
Whenever this question is asked I chuckle. White men AND men tend to be sexually attracted to Black people. |
You pulled up a two year old post for that comment? |
I used oriental on purpose. The vast majority in the U.S. when they hear that term think eastern Asia to include Japan, China, Korea.... Have a fantastic day. |
But be sure to bemoan the lack of available, interested, and functional Black men. |
Not true at all. I'm biracial and I've always had a preference for white men. I've been happily married to one for 17 years. Most of my black female friends have white husbands as well. I know plenty of black women (those from upper class backgrounds) who like white men. Even though we find black men like Edris Elba and Taye Diggs attractive. We wouldn't choose them over Henry Cavill or Michael Fassbender. |
| Eww, Fassbender is gross. I find many white men attractive but he looks like a junkie. |
Sorry you lost me with those last couple sentences. I can't think of any white man I would choose over Idris Elba and Taye Diggs |
I really hope you are not serious? |
Oh come on. Have a sense of humor |
OP, you may like this group. http://www.beyondblackwhite.com Beyond Black and White is group for black women who are open to interracial unions. Most of the members in the group are married and in long term relationships. I think you will find like minded women and men there who can assist you better. However, the group discuss other things like politics, empowerment, health, travel, fashion, beauty, etc. |
I thought the same thing. Random. |
