How Do White Men Feel About Black Women?

Anonymous
I'm a black woman who is extremely attracted to white men.

They absolutely fascinate me--for reasons that I'll keep to myself.

But I keep reading that white men are averse to dating black women. How true is that?

Do you have a weave? Because no white man's gonna pay for that shit.

OP, didn't you post the same thing a few months ago?

Not all black women wear weave, and I know a few white men that WILL pay for it

My white husband does. My friend's white husband takes the weave out for her. OP if he loves you he wouldn't care.

I am a white guy. I find some women of all colors attractive. I am attracted to some black women and not others.

It really just depends on the guy. I'm sure there are some white guys who wouldn't date a black woman solely because she is black (ie racist), but I imagine that it varies quite a bit on age, background, etc.

Part of me is curious what you are reading...and where you are reading it.

I'm also curious about what fascinates you. We could discuss privately.

DH thinks that most Black women carry knives. He doesn't want to get cut, so he has always avoided contact as much as possible.

May I ask what your DH thinks about Asian and Latina ladies

As a black woman, I don't find white men attractive, at all. Everyone has a preference, big deal.

OP,

I'm a multiracial woman who is also drawn to WM. So, you're not alone.

I think that men tend to believe black women are high maintenance. i.e.: won't go swimming, preoccupied with their hair, etc.

You would need to find one that has a high maintenance mother, then they would be used to it.

I am not high maintenance (white), and DHs mom is a farm girl. I am anything but, however not by any means high maintenance. i.e.: I shower every day, his mother did not believe in it.

ITA that most white men with money would not pay for the weaves or hair extensions or hair maintenance.

Plenty of black women do not wear weave. I do no wear weave and wear my natural curly hair. Neither my sister or mother wear weave either. Plus let's not act like white women don't wear weave--Jessica Simpson, Kate Goslin, Miley Cyrus all wear weaves. And even so there are plenty of folks on craigslist doing weave for $50 these days. Weave is as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be. And the reality is there are plenty of men of all races who'll buy a woman whatever she wants, be it weave, the latest Chloe bag, etc. If a man loves a woman and the cooch is good, gurantee she'll get whatever she wants out of him regardless of race.

High maintenance has nothing to do with race, it has to do with values. Some women spend all their money on clothes, some on hair, some on makeup. Look at all the white women on youtube that are makeup gurus, they are probably dropping thousands on makeup a year. Sephora is packed with white women every time I go and that stuff is not cheap. So let's not try and say black women are high maintenance because that's highly subjective.
