Montgomery County has just three cities, several towns and villages none of which are called Bethesda, North Bethesda or Potomac -all of which are among the many "census designated places."

I met the Head at a sports game once - my kid was on the visiting team. He was very nice and welcoming. The Head of my school has never bothered to speak to me despite my attendance at big donor parties, so I am a fan of GAS but not enough to apply out as of yet.

DS has been at Green Acres since K, now in 5th. Overall we've been really happy with the school. For DS it's been just the right blend of nurturing and challenging. If anyone has specific questions about GAS (other than its town designation), I'd be happy to answer them.

Make sure you are familiar with the "whole language" approach that Green Acres uses.

GA is also very progressive (like GDS and Barrie)
