Anyone thinking of Green Acres School in "North Bethesda?"

Let me tell you, the school is not worth the tuition. Run somewhere else. You're welcome.

This is one of the least useful postings I have read on DC Urban Moms. What was your point? Surmissing your DC got turned down for admissions and you are a bit bitter.

Maybe the OP was disappointed to find out that North Bethesda = Rockville.

I wonder if the IP address is the same as last week's drive-by poster.

I concur with OP.

I agree. I've got my own issues with the school, but it seems as though someone really has it in for them.

OP give it up. This didn't get you anywhere last time.

That's not actually true but it might be a truthy as anything on this forum?

If you can pay you can attend...like many DC area private schools.

I only know two families at GA, but they both love the school.

Had two children at the school. A nightmare experience. Rampant bullying and toxic social environment. Adults not in charge, entitled kids (and their parents) completely ran the show. Brat factor quite high. Don't take my word for it, visit, during a school day. Old tired recycled cirriculum - hasn't been updated in over 30 years. Sub-standard teachers. If your pockets are deep though, you can buy the school's backing for their high school application process - kids are supported based on dues paid (by parents) rarely by their qualifications. Feeder school for GDS, if the price is right.

Not our experience at all. DC loves the middle school program, has never been bullied and has blossomed there. Kids in the class are nice, respectful, friendly. Teachers have been fine or great. No complaints from this family at all.

We got turned down by GA, simply because we asked too many questions. It is a KoolAid school, you have to buy in. Years ago, they had this wacky way of trying to get 6 year olds in K. So they were recommending red shirting evryone. That is what schools do when they don't have qualified teachers (certified) who can handle 5 year olds. Run, do not walk to the door.

Also, and AD TOLD ME STRAIGHT that GA is NOT an academic school.
She probably said that to get rid of us since we seemed like we wanted academics.
