Such hypocrisy. There was a thread about how blue-eyed blond kids get look-based compliments much more than others and the posters there thought the non-blonds and minorities are too sensitive. But god-forbid someone says something nice about mixed-race people.

I think the descriptor "incredibly beautiful" set people off.

Wouldn't all African Americans be considered "mixed race" to some extent, thanks to the horrible legacy of slavery and the rapes of so many female slaves by their owners? Or are they mix of a mix and therefore do not count according to OP? Or maybe OP thinks that on the whole, African Americans are better looking than whites? Or maybe the entire premise of this thread is sort of silly and borderline stupid?

?? Some people out of ANY group of human beings will be stunning. I live in a majority-AA neighborhood and I've never really noticed an unusual amount of stunning people at all. That is the point. You guys know that race is a social construct, right?

I'm not offended by OPs premise, but as a biracial woman, I find this idea to be a double edged sword. I've taken a lot of crap over the years from friends/family/acquaintances who simply assume that by the nature of being biracial I am exceptionally attractive (I'm not, average at best with a couple of interesting features and good skin) and that I will be stuck up/egotistical/superficial. I get attention from mean simply because I am biracial, and have to deal with the jealousies of female friends.

I think what's making people uncomfortable is the idea of biracial features being viewed through a lens of exoticism and as such objectification.
Given the uncomfortable historical connotations of this (highly prized "mulattos" during slavery "mestizos", "hapas", during colonial eras) such conversations are fraught with layers of questionable views on race and what makes one "beautiful" and "desirable."

I know a few African American people who have distant Asian ancestry (often Chinese). John Legend is just as mixed as most other African Americans are.

Sure there is. I'm 100% Korean, straight out of Seoul. Pure bloodlines are very important in Confucianism. I have a mixed child and a full Korean child and objectively, while the mixed one is adorable, the full one is better looking.

You asked if there was a minority race...you didn't specify you were only talking about Africans, so I answered because there are more than just black and white people out there.
